Israel targets Hamas leader in Gaza strike

A senior Hamas commander, Raed Saed, was killed in a drone strike in Gaza, following an Israeli military operation ordered by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz. Saed, who played a key role in the October 7 attacks on Israel and was involved in Hamas’s rearmament efforts, was targeted after an attack injured two Israeli soldiers. The strike resulted in four deaths and at least 25 injuries, with Hamas condemning it as a violation of the ceasefire. Since the ceasefire began, over 386 Palestinian fatalities have been reported due to Israeli strikes.
