Across Canada, provinces are selling off U.S.-made alcoholic products, previously removed from shelves due to tariffs, to benefit local charities. Nova Scotia and Manitoba have initiated sales, with profits directed to food banks, while Newfoundland and Labrador anticipates raising up to $1 million for its food distribution hub. Ontario, holding a significant stock of U.S. liquor, is under pressure to follow suit, but Premier Doug Ford has not yet made a decision. Prince Edward Island is also participating in this initiative, returning existing U.S. stock to shelves.
