A handcuffed man, Dylan Harrison, attempted to escape from police at Ystrad Mynach station in South Wales on September 25. As he shouted, “Iām not going back to jail,” he slipped his cuffs and jumped onto a police van, cracking its windscreen, before leaping over a wall, resulting in a broken back. After being recaptured, he admitted to escaping lawful custody and was sentenced to six months in jail. Harrison was cleared of domestic violence charges due to the victim’s absence in court.
