Toronto Priest Opens Food Bank in Garage

Rev. Gerlyn Henry relocated the food bank of Church of the Holy Wisdom in Scarborough to her garage due to renovations, ensuring continued support for approximately 300 community members weekly. She emphasized the food bank’s importance as an essential lifeline, stating that clients are often her neighbors. To address concerns, she communicated with local residents about the necessity of the food bank. Renovations are expected to be completed by summer 2026, at which point the food bank will return to its original location.
