Turkiye has been reelected to the UN’s International Maritime Organization (IMO) Council, as announced by the Turkish Foreign Ministry. Since its initial candidacy in 1999, Turkiye has consistently held a seat on the council, showcasing its expertise in global maritime affairs. The IMO’s 34th assembly is currently taking place in London until December 3.
