FBI Investigates Bigfoot and Analyzes Hair Samples

Since 2019, the FBI has made public 22 documents about Bigfoot, revealing an investigation into its existence began in the 1970s after a request from Oregon hunter Peter Byrne. Bigfoot, or Sasquatch, is described as a large, hairy, ape-like creature primarily reported in the Pacific Northwest. The FBI examined hair samples but concluded they belonged to the deer family, leading to the investigation’s closure in 1977. Despite this, enthusiasts, known as “Apers,” continue to search for the creature, believing it is a biological entity awaiting formal recognition.
