Teacher Disciplined for Interaction with Student on Grindr

A B.C. teacher, Adam Richard Macdonald, has been banned from recertification for eight years after engaging in inappropriate conduct with a student he met during a field trip in 2016. The student, who was 17 at the time, connected with Macdonald on Grindr and later engaged in sexualized physical contact with him after graduating. Macdonald had previously been instructed to maintain professional boundaries with students. His actions were deemed a serious breach of trust and power as an educator.
