A lawsuit in Michigan alleges that Campbell Soup Company executive Martin Bally made offensive remarks about Indian workers and described the company’s products as “highly [processed] food” for “poor people” during a meeting with cybersecurity analyst Robert Garza in November 2024. Garza reported the comments to his manager, J.D. Aupperle, but claims he was not encouraged to escalate the issue and was subsequently terminated. Campbell’s has placed Bally on temporary leave while investigating the matter and stated that the comments, if made, are unacceptable. Garza is seeking compensation for emotional, reputational, and economic harm resulting from the incident.
