The live-action Gundam movie is gaining momentum, with Noah Centineo in talks for a lead role alongside Sydney Sweeney. The film aims to adapt Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team, focusing on the One Year War and themes of loyalty and tragedy, featuring a romance between a Federation officer and a Zeon woman. Directed by Jim Mickle, filming is set to begin in Australia next spring. Legendary and Bandai Namco are co-financing the project, which has been in development for nearly a decade.
