Following the Las Vegas Grand Prix, post-race inspections revealed that both McLaren cars, driven by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, violated Formula 1’s plank wear regulations. The rearmost skid block on each car displayed wear exceeding the permitted minimum thickness of 9mm. According to F1’s technical rules, the plank must maintain a thickness of 10mm. This breach raises concerns regarding compliance and potential penalties for the team.
