Virginia Assistant Principal Charged with Threatening ICE and Police

A Virginia high school assistant principal, John Bennett, and his brother, Mark Bennett, are accused of plotting violence against ICE agents and local police after an off-duty officer overheard them discussing their plans at a restaurant. Mark allegedly planned to meet with “like-minded individuals” in Las Vegas and mentioned acquiring an assault rifle for potential attacks. Both brothers face charges of conspiracy to commit malicious wounding and are currently out on bond with restrictions. Virginia Beach Police Chief Paul Neudigate described the situation as “incredibly alarming.”
