A former senior police leader, Chris de Wattignar, has resigned from his position at the Civil Aviation Authority following a critical report by the police watchdog regarding the handling of sexual offending allegations against ex-Deputy Commissioner Jevon McSkimming. The Independent Police Conduct Authority’s 135-page report identified several senior leaders, including de Wattignar, who is currently the head of aviation security. Following the report’s release, he took a leave of absence.
