The RCMP evacuated several homes in downtown Prince George, B.C., after discovering an explosive device during a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search on 8th Avenue. The explosive disposal unit is en route from the Lower Mainland to assist, while local officers secure the area. This incident follows two recent house fires on the same street, one resulting in $250,000 damage and the other $300,000, both under investigation. Residents will remain displaced until the device is safely handled.
