The College Football Playoff Selection Committee has released its latest rankings, with Alabama dropping to No. 10 after a loss to Oklahoma, and Texas falling to No. 17 following their defeat by Georgia. Georgia moved up to No. 4 while Tulane entered the rankings at No. 24, positioning them for a Group of 5 playoff spot. The current top four teams—Ohio State, Indiana, Texas A&M, and Georgia—would receive first-round byes, while Miami faces a challenging path to the ACC Championship Game. The hypothetical playoff bracket features matchups including Alabama at Oregon and Miami at Ole Miss.
