Ontario’s Top Stolen Vehicles of 2024

A report from Équité Association highlights the most targeted vehicles for theft in Ontario, with the 2024 Honda CR-V, 2022 Dodge Ram 1500, and 2019 Honda Civic being the most stolen models. Despite a 25.9% decrease in thefts in Ontario in the first half of 2025, auto theft remains a significant concern, costing over $1 billion in Canada in 2024. Law enforcement efforts and public awareness are credited with the decline, yet organized crime continues to use stolen vehicles for funding. Vehicle owners are advised to enhance security measures, such as parking in well-lit areas and using immobilizers.
