Turkey Affirms Support for Palestine on 37th Anniversary

On the 37th anniversary of the founding of the State of Palestine, Turkiye extended congratulations and reaffirmed its commitment to support Palestinian rights. The Turkish Foreign Ministry emphasized the goal of establishing an independent, sovereign Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. The State of Palestine was declared on November 15, 1988, amid efforts for international recognition against Israeli occupation. Despite gaining recognition from many countries, Palestine continues to seek full UN membership.
