RJD Responds to Bihar Election Defeat

NEW DELHI: The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) expressed resilience following a significant defeat in the Bihar assembly elections, where it plummeted from 75 to 25 seats. In a statement on X, the party highlighted that “ups and downs” are part of public service, asserting its commitment to the poor. The NDA, led by the BJP with a historic 89 seats, dominated the election, while the Mahagathbandhan coalition suffered a steep decline in both vote share and seat count. Tejashwi Yadav remained the coalition’s chief ministerial candidate despite the losses.
