Man admits to drugging and assaulting two boys at camp

Jon Ruben, a 76-year-old man, has pleaded guilty to 17 charges of child cruelty and sexual offences involving two boys, aged nine and ten, at a summer camp in Stathern, Leicestershire. Allegations include lacing sweets with sedatives and a history of children getting sick at the camp he ran for 27 years. Ruben admitted to multiple counts of child assault and drug charges but denied one sexual offence. He remains in custody and will appear in court via video link on November 28.
