Two Men Sentenced for Car Crash at Care Home

Two men, Sam Asgari-Tabar and Reece Parish, were sentenced for their roles in a tragic incident where a stolen BMW crashed into the Highcliffe Care Home in Sunderland, resulting in the deaths of two elderly residents. Asgari-Tabar, who drove the car during a 100mph police chase, received a five-year and two-month sentence, while Parish was sentenced to 19 months. Both pleaded guilty to robbery, and Asgari-Tabar also admitted to causing serious injury to an elderly resident. The judge described the driving as one of the worst examples he had encountered, highlighting the fear and shock experienced by the vulnerable residents.
