Singapore calls for increased humanitarian aid access in Gaza

Singapore’s Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan urged Israel to enhance humanitarian aid access for Palestinians in Gaza during his meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He reiterated Singapore’s support for a two-State solution and announced a $500,000 donation to the World Food Programme for food assistance in Gaza. Balakrishnan also emphasized Singapore’s commitment to the Palestinian Authority’s capacity-building through upcoming courses on digital economy and entrepreneurship. His visit coincided with a ceasefire following significant casualties in the Gaza conflict since October 2023.
