The body of David Linder, one of three skiers missing in an Alaskan avalanche since March 4, has been recovered, with efforts ongoing to locate the other two. Linder, along with Charles Eppard and Jeremy Leif, was heliskiing in Girdwood when they were buried under deep snow. Recovery operations resumed recently due to improved conditions, leading to Linder’s identification in October and the recovery of additional remains. The three friends were originally from Minnesota, and the incident underscores the dangers of avalanches, which claim 25 to 30 lives annually.
