Sudan PM Requests RSF Classification as Terrorist Group

Kamil Idris tells Al Jazeera violence could spill beyond Sudan’s borders if international community fails to step in.

Sudanese Prime Minister Kamil Idris urged the international community to label the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) as a “terrorist” organization, warning of regional instability due to their actions in Darfur. The RSF’s takeover of el-Fasher has led to mass atrocities, with reports of 1,500 deaths and over 80,000 displaced. Idris, aligned with the Sudanese armed forces, emphasized that RSF’s crimes pose a global threat, urging urgent action from the international community.
