A couple, Chris and Cassie Evins, helped a girl on the Mamba rollercoaster at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City after her seatbelt came undone during the ride on October 11. They spent the remainder of the ride securing her as she screamed in fear, knowing the ride reaches heights of 208ft and speeds of 75mph. After safely finishing the ride, they reported the incident, prompting a safety inspection that led to the ride being temporarily closed. The park later confirmed that the ride’s restraint system was functioning properly and reopened after modifications to enhance safety.
