A statue of Terry Jones, celebrated as the Nude Organist from Monty Python’s Flying Circus, will be unveiled in Colwyn Bay next year. The actor and writer, who passed away from dementia in 2020, inspired various tribute ideas from his family. The character first appeared in 1972, and the statue, titled “A Python On The Prom,” was designed by sculptor Nick Elphick with input from Pythons Michael Palin and Terry Gilliam. Comedy fans raised £120,000 in six months to fund the project.
