Messages in a bottle written by Australian soldiers Pte Malcolm Neville and Pte William Harley in 1916 were discovered on Wharton Beach, Western Australia, a century later. The letters, expressing their experiences during World War One, have been returned to their descendants, who were deeply moved by the find, particularly Neville’s family, as he never returned from the war.
