Police on Montreal’s South Shore have released a 33-year-old woman on conditions following the discovery of a newborn in a bus shelter, found cold and unconscious still attached to the placenta. The woman, who utilized local shelter services prior to the incident, may face charges of infanticide as the investigation continues.
