How to check for bed bugs in your hotel

When checking into a hotel, start by pulling back the sheets and inspecting the mattress seams for any signs of bed bugs such as small brown spots or actual bugs.

Next, look behind the headboard and in any cracks or crevices near the bed for further evidence of an infestation.

If you find any signs of bed bugs, alert hotel staff immediately and request a different room or a refund to avoid bringing the pests home with you.
