Khartoum International Airport Reopens
Khartoum International Airport welcomed its first civilian flight in over two and a half years, marking a significant step toward reviving Sudan’s aviation sector after a prolonged closure due to ongoing conflict between the army and the Rapid Support Forces. This reopening follows recent drone attacks, raising safety concerns amid a humanitarian crisis that has resulted in over 20,000 deaths and 14 million displaced since fighting erupted in April 2023.
