Sony Pictures is advancing its long-awaited Horizon Zero Dawn movie, targeting a 2027 release, with a working script and a director search underway, as confirmed by PlayStation Productions head Asad Qizilbash. The film will focus on protagonist Aloy and aims to compete with Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda movie, set for the same year, echoing the original game’s overshadowing by its rival upon release in 2017.
