Hackers Breach European Telecom Network Using Malware and Citrix Vulnerability

A European telecommunications organization was targeted by the China-linked cyber espionage group known as Salt Typhoon in early July 2025. The attackers gained initial access by exploiting a Citrix NetScaler Gateway appliance, as reported by Darktrace.
