Syria is set to conduct its first parliamentary elections on Sunday since the ousting of Bashar al-Assad, with concerns over inclusivity as only 50 out of 60 districts will participate due to security issues. Interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa will appoint representatives for a third of the 210 seats, raising doubts about the elections’ legitimacy and representation of the Syrian populace.
