No Fee for Kids’ Aadhaar Biometric Updates Until October 2024

NEW DELHI: The Unique Identification Authority of India has waived all fees for the mandatory biometric updates of Aadhaar for children, effective October 1 for one year, benefiting approximately six crore children. Under this new policy, updates required at ages five and fifteen will be free, while a fee will only apply after age seventeen.
