Storm Amy Brings 80mph Winds and Weather Warnings to UK

The Met Office has confirmed that Storm Amy, the first named UK storm of the season, will impact the north-west of the UK on Friday and Saturday, bringing gusts up to 80mph and heavy rain. Yellow severe weather warnings for wind and rain are in effect from noon Friday to midnight Saturday, with potential for damage and transport disruptions.
