Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the UN General Assembly in New York to a nearly empty hall, as most delegations walked out in protest against his government’s actions in Gaza, which is approaching its third year of conflict. Meanwhile, a large demonstration took place in Times Square, where thousands protested against Netanyahu’s appearance, accusing him of genocide and calling for an end to the war and targeting of Palestinian civilians.
