Nepal lifts social media ban after 19 killed in protests: Report | Protests News

Nepal has lifted its ban on social media platforms, which was imposed following mass protests that resulted in the deaths of 19 people in clashes with security forces. Communications Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung confirmed the rollback of the ban on 26 sites, including WhatsApp and Facebook, after widespread demonstrations against corruption and the government’s actions.
