On September 3, 2025, China held a grand military parade in Beijing, attended by world leaders including Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin, to showcase its latest military hardware. President Xi Jinping, dressed in a Mao suit, celebrated the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II with a display of intercontinental ballistic missiles, tanks, and coordinated soldier formations in front of a large public audience at Tiananmen Square.
