Yemen’s Houthi group confirmed that Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahawi and several ministers were killed in an Israeli airstrike on Sanaa, with the Israeli army stating they targeted a Houthi military site. In response, the Houthis vowed to escalate attacks on Israeli targets in support of Palestinians, amidst ongoing conflicts that have killed over 63,400 people in Gaza since November 2023.
