A century ago, the women of Wales made an audacious appeal for world peace – this is their story

On February 11, 1924, aboard the RMS Cedric, I saw the Statue of Liberty glowing in the sunlight despite the bitter cold wind. During lunch, a press man approached me, wanting photos for the Women of Wales movement story. We went to the top deck where we found four burly men waiting.
