Singapore is intensifying its crackdown on vaping, raising fines and imposing severe penalties, including up to 20 years in prison and caning for importers of e-cigarettes containing banned substances like etomidate. With vaping illegal since 2018, officials are particularly concerned about its rising popularity among youth and are urging strict enforcement measures, including the expulsion of foreign offenders.
