Hepworth piece to go on display after £3.8m raised

An art gallery has raised £3.8m to acquire Dame Barbara Hepworth’s sculpture, “Sculpture With Colour (Oval Form) Pale Blue And Red,” which will be permanently displayed at the Hepworth Wakefield. The funds were gathered through over 2,800 public donations, alongside significant contributions from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Art Fund, with the interim CEO expressing that Hepworth would be pleased by the community’s support.
