America's EV Registrations Rise 7% in 2025 – Giving EVs a 7.5% Market Share

EV sales globally increased by 27% in the first seven months of 2025, but in the U.S., registrations rose only 7% to 620,642, capturing a 7.5% market share. Tesla led U.S. sales with 57,260 registrations in June, while Chevrolet’s Equinox EV surged 722% to 6,239 registrations, surpassing Ford and Hyundai as EV market share remained flat amid the upcoming $7,500 tax credit repeal.
