Thousands without power in Puerto Rico as Hurricane Erin pummels region

Nearly 155,000 utility customers in Puerto Rico are without power as Hurricane Erin, now a Category 3 storm, brings heavy rain and winds, with potential flash flooding. Rescue operations for two divers in the U.S. Virgin Islands were conducted, while the hurricane is expected to strengthen before passing near the Turks and Caicos and gradually weakening later in the week.
