A Federal Court judge has temporarily halted the deportation of Jagjit Singh, an Indian citizen, due to concerns over the impact on his Canadian wife, L.B., who has ADHD, and the financial strain on his sister. The judge found that the Canada Border Services Agency did not adequately consider the evidence of potential irreparable harm before scheduling Singh’s removal, allowing him to stay in Canada until his spousal sponsorship application is reviewed.
