A woman has died and a man is critically injured after police shot him in Christchurch following a report of a man armed with a knife threatening to harm himself and his partner. Officers arrived at the scene on Clyde Rd, and upon seeing the woman fleeing the house with the armed man, they shot him to prevent imminent harm to her.
