Reddit blocks Internet Archive to end sneaky AI scraping

Reddit is blocking the Internet Archive (IA) from indexing its content due to concerns that AI firms, which are prohibited from scraping Reddit, have been accessing data through IA’s archived materials. Moving forward, IA will only archive screenshots of the Reddit homepage, limiting its ability to document deleted posts or provide insights into user activity and subcultures.
