Support for the Coalition has dropped to its lowest level in 40 years, with a Newspoll showing the Liberal and Nationals primary vote at 29%, down from their previous record low of 31.8%. In contrast, Labor’s primary vote rose to 36%, despite Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s declining approval ratings, with him still preferred over Liberal leader Sussan Ley by 52% to 32%.
