A Syrian army group called “Red Bands” has threatened Israel with “rivers of blood” if President Ahmad al-Sharaa is harmed following Israeli airstrikes targeting the presidential palace and the Syrian General Staff building in Damascus. Israeli military preparations indicate an escalation, with drone and fighter jet deployments, amid ongoing attacks in the southern province of Sweida and troop movements in the Golan Heights.
