Syria’s interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa emphasized the protection of Druze citizens and their rights as a priority, amidst Israeli threats to destroy Syrian forces attacking them. In his first statement after recent Israeli airstrikes on Damascus, he rejected external influence and asserted that Syrians are prepared to defend their dignity if threatened.
