Nearly 500 tonnes of emergency food aid, intended for 27,000 malnourished children in Afghanistan and Pakistan, will be incinerated due to the closure of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) under President Trump’s administration, which left the food to expire in a Dubai warehouse.
