Morocco has reopened its embassy in Syria after a 13-year closure, with operations resuming in Damascus as of last Sunday, according to the official Moroccan news agency. This decision follows the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime and the establishment of a new transitional administration led by President Ahmad al-Sharaa in January 2024.
